Promises and Pomegranates

Acknowledgments About the Author Author’s Note Kal and Elena’s story is a dark contemporary romance based loosely on the framework and characters of the myth of Hades and Persephone. Please be aware that it is not fantasy, historical romance, or a literal retelling. Once Elena gets a taste of freedom, she won’t be recaged without a fight. An intermission finally takes place, the lights in the auditorium brightening just so the patrons can see their hands in front of their faces.
