Caitlin became aware of herself as only a body, an assemblage of parts, nothing more. Somehow, in all of Caitlin’s paranoid madness, she had done her own investigation. Finally, Michael speaks. “He won’t stop.” Caitlin can fight it no more; she falls asleep in the back seat.
